The Master Bedroom in our Navy Yard Condo project was also a complete eDesign job, (this means we worked with our client remotely). Through close communication via Pinterest, design boards, shopping lists and email, we were able to instruct the design plan through easy to understand steps. Our goal with a master bedroom is always to create a really special space - one that's set apart from the rest of the home but still 'speaks the same language'. We used the hall connecting the bedroom to the en-suite bath and closet as an opportunity to add gorgeous drama that contrasts with the light and airy bedroom. Wrapped in 'Hunter Green' by Benjamin Moore and styled with global art and a rustic bench that we made, this space is anything but forgotten. The bedroom itself is full of soft neutrals with whispers of glowing warm pastels which contrast with the walnut wood pieces, (all Craigslist finds). We came up with the idea for the wall treatment behind the bed using wood trim as an easier, more affordable and modern alternative to shiplap. This space is very light, very soft, and completely peaceful. The perfect retreat at the end of the day.
